The most important and undoubtedly the number one modern-day cause of species diversity decline are habitat alteration and destruction.Habitat alteration and destruction have largely been attributed to neglect and unsustainable human activities such as estate development, increased mining activities agriculture, logging , urbanization and increasing human population.
