Relatively small areas used to protect plants or animals species, either resident or migratory, of exceptional conservation interest, from any form of destruction. They provide visitation rights but hunting is prohibited. Wildlife sanctuaries in Ghana include the Owabi Wildlife Santuary and Bomfobiri Wildlife Santuary.
