The search for suitable sites in Ghana for the development of good public zoos continues. The Kumasi zoo which is located in the central part of the city has very little space for expansion and subsequent exhibition of selected wild animals in suitable enclosures. The Accra zoo has been transferred from the Flagstaff House area to the Achimota forest which provides more favourable conditions for the animals.
