Forth multi-stakeholder dialogue meeting
Following the outcomes of MSDs (national and district meetings), selected members of the MSD-SC and the project secretariat held a joint meeting with the TIDD to look at the way forward. The TIDD has been mandated under the VPA within the FC to address the domestic lumber supply and as such is one of the main target groups for the outcome of the MSD process. Similarly to the project, a multi-stakeholder consultation process is being used by TIDD to engage stakeholders to discuss supply of legal lumber to the domestic market. A technical committee also met to look at the outcome of the SWOT analysis and technical issues that are likely to come up under option 2 (the preferred option by most stakeholders).
