This project was implemented in the Lake Bosomtwe area and had as its main objective to create a New Biosphere Reserve in the Lake basin which was focussed on the inhabitants and including research components. A Rocha Ghana, Friends of the Earth-Ghana, CSIR-Forest Research Institute of Ghana, Intelligence Nature International, CSIR-Water Research Institute- Accra and the MAB National Committee were the organizations responsible for the implementation of the project activities with each orgainzation having a defined focus. This project was coordinated by the UNESCO Office in Accra, Ghana.
